Do or Die 04:34
Think too many things I spin Can see myself in every thing The daze crawls down onto my skin This is a matter of do or die Repetition endlessly Every option holds a key It all comes falling down on me This is a matter of do or die Hours turn to grey I still Dig up some new holes I won’t fill I stumble round my little hill This is a matter of do or die Repetition endlessly Every option holds a key Just find a lock and I’ll be free This is a matter of do or die He may can feel he’s not his shell But he still can’t understand In the end he never will All along he was all wrong There was fear but now it’s gone And won’t come back Won’t come back It won’t come back
2.
And the moon shines bright tonight Just like no one ever fought this fight Feel the sand between my toes Follow tracks nobody knows And the moon shines bright tonight Waving to the other side When I get down on my knees Grasping what the dead call peace Keep your feet on the ground There’s no time anymore Intuition Unbound A voice too loud to ignore No evil force pulls the strings Passivity bears the consequence So what are you going for? Whatever happens, happens The choice lies in your hands And in this quest for meaning Lies freedom

Rush 04:02
I dream and I mystify Walk in the shadow of a mountain high My lungs are full of trees and fumes Inside I hide in pretty rooms The wall I set up high Is meant to fall, fall, fall down The wall I set up high Is meant to fall, fall, fall down His wooden eyes they help me see Whenever I forget to be Embrace the night, the stars are mine Be in tune with the sun and shine The wall I set up high Is meant to fall, fall, fall down The wall I set up high Is meant to fall, fall, fall down The wall I set up high Is meant to fall

Schweben 06:04
I know you know You know I know Listen to me, listen to me now I see, now I see Blue and green again The sun shines still Time flows, thyme grows What do I know? Is there time? No. I can let go, I can let go If I cry I know I’m letting go You and me reside in hands of gold In this Net of confusion, of self-delusion Bound to time and space If one day All of my grieving loses its meaning Why do I still feel blue? Constellation Incarnation Feel it, yes I feel it coming Being, come to be A being, singing Till my heart stands still Time flows, thyme grows What do I know? Just one thing? No. I can let go, I can let go If I cry I know I’m letting go You and me reside in hands of gold In this Net of confusion, of self-delusion Bound to time and space If one day All of my grieving loses its meaning Why do I still feel blue? Fleeting Ride through an aeon, I’d like to see you on My way back home The day goes by I close my eyes I try

Veils fall deep truesight is blinding Habits fade just to return Misery emerges to remind one What we have is all we need What we have is all we need And I see what you are hiding Even though you shed no tear I can feel what you are hiding From me and everyone else Leap in the dark long for the silence That still reigns in all our hearts Raised to bluff, feelings so violent Did you think that I’m this blind And I see what you are hiding Even though you shed no tear I can feel what you are hiding From me and everyone else

Val Verde 03:24
The owl hoots echo in my ear Another thought to feed my fear Another life that feels like mine Another land, another time A cold wind speaks of storms to come I sit there gazing in the sun What if there is no right or wrong Oh if I knew I’d write a song And every step that I ascend Brings forth another wound to mend My soul feels very young today But I’m apt to find my way What if there is no right or wrong What if there is no right or wrong What if there is no right or wrong Oh if I knew I’d write a song

Aphelion 06:09
Can’t decide for a life I’m waiting for a sign Always waiting for a sign Hope that I’ll realize I idealize No lies no more Twine around my decline In a mess borderline I’m still waiting for a sign Can’t get up, spiral down down down I lost ground Some lies no more Same old tears in my eyes Once again recognize Once again evermore Lift a veil just to face Seven more in its place Lift them all at my pace What dreams may come What spells may break We shudder with the stars As high above So down below Our molecules align

Prelude 01:04
12.
Too much I can’t go on I tried so hard to come undone Too many lives misspent, I died Too many times, never to know Oh help me please to surrender Try not to lose my mind I only want to get behind What is it that we all once had But never tired to forget Oh help me please to remember I’m dreaming, I’m dreaming I’m breathing in, I’m breathing out I’m dreaming, I’m dreaming I’m breathing in, I’m breathing out
13.
Kirwani 03:22
When I was another one I broke free to have some fun Not a single thought for you Left my home and left you too All the things you saw in me Weren’t and will never be A hundred cats won’t ease the pain Still you wish I’d feel the same
14.
Kirwani II 03:29
In the night, first summer’s child It came to me I saw day bright Things happen fast Sometimes they last Sometimes they fade And then they’re past Someday I’ll be strong enough To tell you ’bout the life I’ve got My only wish I sing to you You tell me you are happy too

about

Berlin based Krautgaze brimming with melancholia while casting off genre clichés with a grin and an artfully nostalgic twist.

It is hard to imagine that something called Krautgaze could grow up in any other place than Berlin. In its glittering darkness, the city is a perfect breeding ground for a band like Suns of Thyme: The five-piece (masterfully) crashes together space rock, shoegaze, psych, death rock, and Velvet Underground on its (forthcoming) sophomore album Cascades. This ode to freethought is brimming with melancholy and a nonchalant greatness that will (comfortably) settle in behind your eyes – Suns of Thyme casts off genre clichés with a grin and an artfully nostalgic twist.
